April Issue ~ R.E.A.C.H. San Benito Parks Foundation and BenitoLink.com are hosting a MOONLIGHT WALK ON THE DE ANZA TRAIL!!!! Sat, April 28, 7:30pm
Meetup at the base of the trail at 7:30pm for a Jim Ostdick talk about the phases of the moon and what we’ll experience. The moonrise is at 6:45pm, before sunset at 7:57pm, so it should be spectacular to see when we reach the overview a little beyond the mile marker, Jim says. Relying on the moon to light our way is a thrilling, confidence building action that we’ll all enjoy with our family and friends.
Jim has been Walking San Benito now since he got back from his storied walk across America last year. The De Anza Trail is one of his favorite walks as he has posted them for BenitoLink.com, our county online news source.
We would like to know in advance how many people plan to come, bring the family or friends, so please call the R.E.A.C.H. cell number: 831-601-5154, or visit our website: reachsanbenito.org to contact us. BenitoLink.com will also be hosting information and contact. Bring your water bottle and light snack if you think you need it. We’ll have an information table and EZ-up tent set up to take contact names and hand out “1st Time” badges to participants! The Trail is wide and kind, so come on out to walk in the moonlight!
This first organized Walking San Benito event will hopefully be the first in a long line of quarterly events to bring the county to your feet, senses and awareness!
